Who we are

Gifthub.so is a gift recommendation service operated by Pedro Marins. Data Protection Officer (LGPD/GDPR): Pedro Marins (privacy@gifthub.so).

Data we process

• Quiz inputs (recipient, age, interests, budget): sent in real time to Anthropic to generate recommendations. We do not store on our server.
• Optional feedback: when you use the form, we receive the text. Email is optional. We keep it in inbox for up to 1 year.
• Browser location (country): detected via HTTP header. Used only to display the correct regional calendar. We do not store.
• Favorites: saved exclusively in your browser localStorage. Never sent to our server.
• HTTP logs: our provider (Vercel) keeps access logs for up to 30 days.
• Error diagnostics: if something breaks, we collect technical data about the failure (incl. IP address and error context) via Sentry, solely to fix problems. Not used for profiling or advertising.

Legal basis (LGPD art. 7 / GDPR art. 6)

• Quiz: performance of the service you requested.
• Feedback: consent on submission + legitimate interest.
• Location: legitimate interest in improving UX.
• Favorites: performance of the service (you chose to save).
• Error diagnostics: legitimate interest in service security and stability.

Sharing with third parties

• Anthropic (AI): processes the quiz, does not retain for training.
• Vercel (hosting): infrastructure and CDN.
• Resend (email): delivery of the feedback form.
• Sentry (error monitoring): receives technical crash diagnostics so we can keep the service stable and secure.
• Amazon (affiliation): when you click a link, Amazon sets its own cookies under their Privacy Policy.

International transfer

Anthropic, Vercel, Resend and Sentry operate in the United States. Transfer is covered by standard data processing agreements (DPA) and standard contractual clauses (SCC) from each provider, and by the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) US-EU/UK where applicable.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, anonymization, deletion, portability of your data, or revoke consent. Email privacy@gifthub.so and we respond within 15 business days.

Cookies and local storage

Today we use only essential storage: localStorage to save your favorites and remember dismissed notices. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. When we add analytics in the future, we will ask for your explicit consent.

Changes

Changes to this policy will be indicated by the update date above. Material changes will be communicated and the consent banner will appear again.
